The early “elections must be announced as soon as possible in all four municipalities and organised in a fully comprehensive manner. We expect Kosovo Serbs to participate in these elections”, the communiqué says.
The EU has also cited Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq's order for the military to increase the state of readiness.
“We express concern for the state of highest alert of the Serbian Armed Forces”, said further in the EU communiqué.
They have also called for implementation of the basic agreement and Anex, with particular emphasis on Association, saying that the foundation should begin without delay and without further preconditions.
The European Union expects Kosovo and Serbia to act responsibly and immediately engage in EU-mediated Dialogue to find a sustainable solution to the situation in northern Kosovo that guarantees security, security and participation democracy for all citizens and paves the way for implementation of the Road Agreement towards Normalisation and its Annex. This includes starting without any further delay or preconditions of work for establishing the Association/United Communities with the Serbian Majority”, the communique said. /Reporter
