Escobar: Crisiss After Ohrid Agreement Could Be Avoided

The American emissary for the Balkans Gabriel Escobar has urged Kosovo to establish association as Belgrade halts its campaign against Kosovo membership in international organisations. Speaking of the Ohrid Agreement, Escobar has said “reached a legally binding “agreement that opened the door for a peaceful, constructive and predictable relationship between Serbia and Kosovo [...]
When we left Ohrid, we left optimistic. In the two months since we reached that agreement, we had a lot of political crises and I would say they were all predictable and could be avoided. So, we need to find a way to de-progress the processes immediately, to de-scalulate the situation and immediately turn to the focus of implementing the Ohrid Agreement” it added. Escobar has stressed for Serbia that means ending the impasse on Kosovo's European and international integration.
For Kosovo this means beginning the process of implementing the Serb Communist Community. We have to work on both things immediately, the US diplomat said.
