New elections, what are the options under the law?

Residents of Kosovo's 4 northern municipalities may again have the opportunity to vote, in case the current mayors decide to resign.
Organising new elections in this municipality is one of the requirements that the European Union, after straining the situation in the north.
In addition to resignations, according to Eugene Cacolit of the Kosovo Democratic Institute, there is another possibility.
Eugen Cakoli from KDI has said that “S second is the possibility of leaving mayors with voting processes that are essentially mini referenda. Where 20 per cent of eligible voters are required to start applying to the mayor of the Communist Assembly, this is forwarded to the CEC, then the CEC organises a kind of referendum where citizens are asked whether you are for or against the departure of the current mayors. If they vote for over 50 per cent of eligible voters, then the president again proclaims the extraordinary” elections.
Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Memli Krasniqi has not indicated whether the elections, they see the situation as a solution, but has said no one has the right to ask for the resignation.

In this case, the AAK says they should ask the mayors themselves.

RTV Duagjini, has tried to get an answer from the Central Election Commission about the possibility of once again organising extraordinary elections in the north, but the same have not returned.
Following the resignation of Serbian mayors in northern Mitrovica, Leposaviq, Zubin Potok and Zvecan, following the Kosovo government's decision on the plates, the president appointed holding elections in December, but the same was postponed for April, which were largely boycotted by the Serb community.
