Edita Tahiri: The idea for international conference is unacceptable

Kosovo's former chief negotiator for dialogue with Serbia, Edita Tahiri, has strongly opposed the option of holding an international conference on the North, calling for people to be against Masovically. According to her, this would be unacceptable and should be rejected just as an occupation by Serbia. “An international conference for the north is an unacceptable idea [...]

An international conference for the north is an unacceptable and dangerous idea! The people must prepare to oppose him incisively, just as we rejected the commitment from Serbia”, Tahiri said.
The idea of the international conference for Kosovo has been driven publicly by Prime Minister Edi Rama, who in some media conferences, has said the time has come for Prime Minister Kurti and President Aleksandar Vuciq to close until an agreement is reached.
During this week Rama has “dored” and formally his proposal in Brussels during meetings with senior officials there, including EC President Michel and High Representative Josep Borelli.
Emisari in Kosovo-Serbia dialogue Miroslav Lajcak has confirmed yesterday that Rama has taken the proposal to Brussels.
“It's Eddie Rama's initiative. I have to say he plays an active and constructive role in the entire crisis, because he's a good connoisseur of the situation on the ground. Of course, as Albanian prime minister, his voice is very authoritarian to hear. I'm in regular contact with him and I know how much time and authority has invested to find a solution. That's the proposal he came up with. We are in daily contact with the US and the major European capitals. But of course, the best platform for resolving issues is dialogue, and we have to go back to dialog” Lajcak said.
But is such a conference a real option?
“did not discuss expectations from that conference. It's too early to speculate on this. I would like to stress once again that Rama's role is seen constructively” has stressed Lajcak.
