Edi Rama: Serbs return to institutions, Kosovo announce extraordinary elections

For days, the situation in northern Kosovo continues to be very tense, where there has often been a clash between Kosovo police and Serbian citizens.

The country's prime minister, Edi Rama, said on TV Klan that he met Kurti and Osman, but that they had no discussions, because according to him it is an issue they should decide whether to discuss.

Rama: I see what's going on and it's not that they're hiding, it's very clear what they're saying.

No communication between Albania and Kosovo on the official level?

Rama: No, because it is an issue that is the responsibility and full competence of the prime minister of Kosovo and to some extent and the presidency. It is they who decide whether they want to discuss the matter or not. I'm not the one who picks them up and tell them how you're gonna do it. It's respect for them and Kosovo institutions, according to me.

Kosovo has always consulted Albania.

Rama added that in the concrete case there is nothing to worry about because it is Kosovo's right not to consult and it is their right to let their decisions through the media know.
