The Court of Appeals' panel has overturned appeals filed by two groups of individuals against the decision of the Judicial Chamber, with which they refused their requests to participate as victims in Thaci and others.
The Court has found that the crimes that individuals claim to have suffered are not included in the geographical or material of the indictment.
The trial against former Kosovo Liberation Army leaders (UÇK) will continue on Monday (July 10th with the hearing of the prosecution witness.
There the court has once again highlighted concern over the pace of this trial. Chief Judge Charles Smith requested as many public hearings as possible.
The judgment against Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselini, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi has started on April 3rd with the parties' opening statements.
Before the court, they have pleaded innocent to charges of alleged war crimes.
They are located at The Hague detention centre since November 2020.
