Chocolate: If sanctioned, Kosovo first state in Western Ballakan with EU measures

Former European Integration Minister Bekim Colak has said that if the European Union imposes sanctions on Kosovo, it will become the first state in the Western Balkans with such measures.

He has declared that sanctions could have consequences in the economy and in the integration process.

“If sanctions are imposed, Kosovo becomes the first state in the Western Balkans to face sanctions from the European Union. It's about millions of euros Kosovo receives annually from the EU for many projects. The consequences will afflict Kosovo citizens, less infrastructure projects. This government that has failed to invest a single large infrastructure project during its governance, if these EU investment projects are halted, the result in investment and implementation of projects will be zero”.

“Without imposing sanctions we are the last on the list as far as European integration is concerned, imagine that in a situation even though the last one will now have an additional burden could be sanctions from the EU.
