According to the FBI, hackers have found ways to use public charge stations to inject malware and track a device.
The FBI is not the only federal agency warning of the danger presented by the charge stations. Several warnings have also been posted on the FCC website.
“Malware installed through a loading station port may block the device or capture personal data or even passwords. Criminals can then use this information to access online accounts or sell it to third persons”.
