Culture Minister Hajrula Ceku has reacted to stopping the screening of films at the House of Culture in Bujanoc.
He said the case last night is unprecedented and unacceptable, until he accused Serbian authorities of prejudiced the content and said it is national failure.
A day before the film show, Serbia's police take the Culture House Director of Bujanoc, producer and film actors into information. With no concrete motive, and even prejudging movie content, Serbian authorities stop showing films until a next decision. This least thing that can be named is a national failure to take”.
Ceku said it is evidence that Serbia has not changed and that it can change.
Unfortunately, there are still political circles inside, in the region and abroad that believe in changing Serbia. It is politicalisation on the part of Serbia and the art, with the only motive that the film is with Albanian actors and supported by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, is the biggest untruth Serbia has changed, or that it can change”.
The minister announced that this project was one of 78 projects the Government of Kosovo supported financially through the Albanian National Council.
“Projects these that carried activities on preservation and cultivation, advancing art, language, education and Albanian national identity in the Presevo Valley”.
