So he announced at a media conference on Thursday, the shareholder of NPB, Leutrim Retkoceri from the ranks of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, who said the decision to cancel the project is based on the assessment of the Pristina Commission's Legal Office.
Retkocer said the municipality's Legal Office has concluded that the project is in conflict with NPB regulations while submitting several requests for the NPB Board of Directors.
As he said, the contract has cost the company millions of euros and jeopardised its financial aspect.
The recovery comes after research on the project construction contract in Lakrish. Several times this contract has been signed by some political parties. In this regard we have chosen the right path, we will not stop for the purpose of preserving public interest and NPB”.
Ratkocer has indicated that several times they have sought to report to Pristina's Municipal Assembly regarding the contract.
There have also been investigations by the prosecution for senior NPB officials. On April 28th, we sent the report and information necessary for the Pristina municipal assembly and requested that we report on this topic and the annual report before the municipal assembly. We have continued, as of May 26th, we have requested legal opinion from the Pristina municipality's wicked office, with the sole aim of preserving Pristina's material property”.
On the other hand, he has indicated about the decision, which has immediately entered into force and submitted the shareholders' demands against the Board of Directors.
The legal office has concluded that construction is contrary to the legislation in force, we shareholders have made a decision. The decision is cancelled, with the number protocol 01-0886/1 date 27/04/2021 of the municipal panel of shareholders for adoption of the main draft agreement for co-investment. It is required by the Dord of Directors to abolish the NPB's real estate growth regulation. The Board of Directors is under way to take the necessary legal steps regarding this contract. The Board is committed to request from relevant NPB departments and to do an assessment of the damages that the contract has caused and toʹi announce the order bodies for these damages”.

Regarding the case, The NPB has also faced indictment by the Government of Kosovo in court, but the case has been won by court's direct decision of form.
The project for the apharisto-banese facility in Lakspa, which is initiated by the NPB and will be built in public-private partnership, was suspended following the indictment exercised by the Environment Ministry.
The suspension decision was issued by the Environment Ministry in the month of October last year, following allegations of environmental destruction through the abstract, during the collapse of the facilities on NPB property.
The contract, through the State Lawyer, has been sent to the Special Prosecutor's Council, which has declared itself non-competitive and has been initiated case by the Constitutional Court for annulment of the contract.
