A long-standing ally of Russian President Vladim Putin has criticised the arrogance of the leader of the Yevgeny Prigozhin rebellion, saying this could lead to the dangerous “consequences”.
After the withdrawal of Wagner's leader, Chechen leader Ramzan Cadyrov also confirmed that Prygozhin had acted from “anger” for a chain of unsuccessful business deals, reports the BBC.
Cadyrov, the leader of the southern Russian republic, said he had earlier advised the leader of the Wagner group to put his affairs aside.
I've talked to Prigozhin, asking him to leave his business ambitions and not mix them with issues of national importance. I thought he heard me, but it turns out that this anger in him has only grown all this time”
Cadyrov called on all mercenaries to be measured “in their decisions, otherwise, this could lead to catastrophic “results”, he warned.
