British Embassy: Violence against journalists is unacceptable and unjustified

Following brutal attacks by protesters disguised against Kosovo journalists in Leposaviq, the British Embassy in Kosovo has reacted, calling it unacceptable and unjustified violence against journalists.

The embassy has called on protest leaders to stop attacks on journalists who are only there to report on developments.

“Denial towards journalists is unacceptable and unjustified. We call on those who lead the protests to prevent and condemn violence against those who work to report on the” events, the announcement said.

Otherwise, Kosovo journalists have been attacked with shock-bambas and stones. And some masked persons have pursued them and brutally beaten them.
