We made it clear that we were not involved. We had nothing to do with it. It was part of a war within the Russian system,” he said. Earlier, Moscow said it is investigating whether Western spy agencies played a role in the Wagner group uprising two days ago in Russia.
Biden also said that he was given updates hours after hours during the short-lived rebellion, which ended on Saturday. Beden also added that he had been in close contact with Zelensky.
“I told him that regardless of what happened in Russia... in the United States we will continue to support the protection of Ukraine and its sovereignty and territorial integrity,” he said.
