Last Wednesday, European Union Foreign Policy spokesman Peter Stano had confirmed that punitive measures were being taken against Kosovo because of its government's actions.

He had not shown, however, so concrete by talking about them.

Stano had said these words at the press conference:

Despite our calls, Prime Minister Kurti has failed to take steps and actions to deextulate (the situation), his five-point plan fails to adequately address the problems that caused and that are the roots of the crisis... and that we expect him to address,”

He had spoken of measures that would have immediate effect.

The European Union in line with 27 member states has prepared proposals for immediate measures. ”

He mentioned the measures would have financial and political consequences.

Today, journalist Franzinska Tschinderle wrote on the subject. By means of a tweet, Mrs. Tschinderle from the Profile newspaper in Austria put it the following:

The EU sanctions against Kosovo are apparently being taken seriously. I heard that several meetings with Albin Kurt have been cancelled, including a meeting with Austrian Foreign Minister Schallenberg at Vienna Airport. ”

This has not yet been confirmed by the Government of Kosovo.

An abort of visits was discussed earlier by several different international media. European top diplomat Josep Borrell, who had indicated however that no meetings for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue would be cancelled.

The EU sanctions against Kosovo are taken dramatically as it seemss. I hear of seven meetings with Albin Kurti being chanced, among them a meeting with the Austrian Foreign Schallenberg at the airport of Vienna.
