Kosovo Government spokesman Progress Kryeziu has exposed audio-inctation which has been published on the Russian network Telegram, where it is alleged for a conversation that has been held between Prime Minister Albin Kurti and US Ambassador Jeffrey Hovenier.
The Kryeziu has said that the recording in question is “deepphake”, and is intended to deceive the public.
A disturbing deepfake audio is currently being circulated into different social channels and media, including Twitter, with the aim of deceiving the public. Once again, we recall the dangers that false and manipulated content presents to truth, democracy, and ultimately peace”, he wrote on Twitter.
Even the US Embassy in Pristina has called on it not to believe everything published in social media or other apps.
