Two men were arrested in Prizren, found over 10kg of marijuana

Police have arrested two people today in Prizren, with 10.4kg of marijuana-like narcotics found during the search.

According to police report, police investigators from the Directorate for Trafficking in Narcotics Investigation- The Central Sector, following investigations conducted in co-operation with the State Prosecutor in Prizren at 10,06.2023, around 11:00, the code-named police operation, with the aim of finding and confiscating narcotics and arresting persons involved in criminal activities, have been carried out.

Police have conducted searches at two locations in Prizren, where, in quality of material evidence, 10kg and 414 kilos were found and confiscated, it is allegedly a narcotic substance of marijuana type. The marijuana was allegedly destined for the international market (Turkey) and in the market amounts to approximately 36 500 euros, the announcement said.

Other related evidence has also been seized in material evidence. Two suspects have also been arrested -- O.F., (Kosovon male, 1976 year) and A.U. -- (male citizen of Turkey, 1970).

Police have interviewed the suspects, the case has been initiated against them by bribing, possession, distribution and unauthorized selling of narcotics, psychotrope and analogue. With the decision on stopping the person, suspects have been assigned the 48-hour ban, Kosovo Police report.
