KEDS has increased investment pace throughout Kosovo. In Lapusnik, the location this extended to the central part of the country, new medium- and low-tensity electricity network has been installed.
Fitim Prokshi, project overseer and engineer at KEDS, said that with the installation of the new network, including three transformers, over 14,000m electric conveyors and about 230 pillars of different profiles, more than 200 have been provided.
With the installation of this new electrical network, our consumers in these Lapusnik neighbourhoods already have stable power supply and security”, he said.
This investment, which has been launched in recent days, has produced its own effects immediately, bringing more quality services.
Locals express satisfaction with the new electricity network. Bajram Gashi, resident of Gashi's neighbourhood, thanks to KEDS for replacing the old electricity network with the new one.
I returned from Germany in 2011. I'm a pensioner there! Then we did not have a good condition with electricity supplies. We've been connected to a new network for about ten days, and we're very pleased”, he said.
Even Avdi Gashi, former professor at the Drenas Middle School, appreciates the work of KED as very necessary for the village he lives in, sending a message to others.
We've had old pillars! Now we have stable tension and all the devices work properly. With the installation of this network, I wish people would be conscious and not misuse electricity”, he says.
The project of the new medium- and low-tensity electrical network in these three neighbourhoods amounts to over 120 thousand euros. KEDS is at the conclusion of another project in two other Lapusnik neighbourhoods, which will benefit more than a hundred other consumers.
