What was seen is that although they were invited, US Ambassador Jeffrey Havenier and ambassadors of the QUINT countries have not participated in the state reception.
At this ceremony, only the ambassadors of Switzerland and Austria, as well as KFOR commander, have been seen. Neither the parliamentary opposition participated, P DK, LDK and AAK.
Meanwhile, regarding whether there was a boycott of organisation by the ambassadors of the QUINT countries, Bekim Cupina, president Vjosa Osmani's Media adviser, has reacted.
He has said all Quint states have had representatives in joint organisation by the presidency, Parliament and the Government of Kosovo.
Cupina says different countries have had representation by deputy ambassadors.
The wait for honour of June 12th has been the joint organisation of the presidency, the Parliament and the Government of Kosovo. There was no boycott of anyone at this ceremony. Ambassadors from several European and Asian states, KFOR commander, have participated, while other diplomatic representatives have been represented by Zv. Ambassador”, he said, reports Telegrafi.
President Vjosa Osmani's Media adviser, says it is not true that there has been a boycott of the state ceremony.
All QUINT states had their representatives at the ceremony. As a result, it is untrue that there has been a boycott of the state ceremony on June 12th”, Cupina has declared further.
And in the organisation for the 24th anniversary of the country's liberation, the country's president, Vjosa Osmani, said that on June 12, 1999, Kosovo gained the fundamental right to existence, which formed identity and fulfilled centuries-old aspirations and defined collective destiny.
She stressed that the Peace Day, also known as Freedom Day, is the important date in Kosovo's new history.
This day serves as a reminder of the triumph of the human soul on the cuffs and the continued sacrifice for freedom”, said President Osmani.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Albin Kurti said June 12th is the important date that came after a war of liberation, self-determination and independence.
He said the breakup of Yugoslavia began in Kosovo and brought an end to Serbia's occupation.
Kurti said that student demonstrations and miners' strikes turned into popular movement.
In his address, Kosovo Parliament Speaker Glauk Konjufca said that June 12th 1999 is one of the most important dates for our people.
Besides the important day of liberation from Serbia, this is our Thanksgiving and memory and reflection”, said Chief Prime Minister Konjufca.
