Ukraine's president, Volodymyr Zelensky, has urged the country's parliament to impose sanctions on Iran for 50 years.
Citing a draft resolution, Ukrainian newspaper Kyiv Independent said the demand includes a complete ban on Iranian trade, investment and transfer technologies, as well as the withdrawal of Iranian assets from Ukraine.
Ukraine's parliament must adopt the bill for it to become law, but parliament has not yet appointed the vote.
Iran has offered Russia military equipment and has already been sanctioned by the US and the European Union for the country's fearful supply.
A security source has told Sky News that Iran has secretly supplied large quantities of bullets, rockets and mortar shells in Russia.
