“This team (The Managing Team for the formation of the Association of Serb Major Communities) cannot necessarily function absolutely independent of the Government of Kosovo, and if this team -- whoever its composition -- has refused to meet with the minister responsible for this issue mentioned and in the agreement -- this is a serious violation for me of”, the Visar Ymer analyst said at “Debat-83>
Ymer for the LDK leader's statement, Lumir Abdixhiku, that the draft status being compiled by the Managing Team for forming the majority Serbian Commission Association, which he has titled “states within the state”, has said it is important in two respects.
The first “is increasing the voices of opposition to this document and that if Kosovo intends to oppose it, in this case I am thinking Government, then it is good to have as many voices as possible against”, Ymer has added.
As a second aspect, Ymer cited the dexterity of Great Britain's Ambassador to Kosovo, Nicholas Abbott, and said it is a good opportunity for Kosovo to present an association that wants and is acceptable. “and perhaps these two documents could be questioned”, Ymer said away.
Great Britain's ambassador to Kosovo, Nicholas Abbott, is of the opinion that Kosovo should formally propose a draft status for the Serb majority municipalities' association.
The draft, according to him, should be based on Prime Minister Albin Kurti's vision and in line with EU criteria.
So now is the time for Kosovo to formally propose a draft state for an ESM, based on the vision set by the prime minister last week, in line with the criteria set by the EU”, he has said.
Abbott said Britain and other Kosovo allies “wanted to see progress in normalising relations with Serbia”.
