Veterans willing to protest if not included in the minimum wage

It is expected tomorrow to discuss the Law on the minimum wage, in which veterans are seeking to be included

From this organisation, they say they are only seeking to respect the current law, where it is estimated that the benefits of a KLA veteran are no less than minimum wage.

“Law clearly defines any budgetary problem that Government may have, the benefits of veterans cannot be less than the minimum wage legally understood that the veteran's benefit can be established at any height, but in such cases where there is a budget deficit clearly defined by the law, which dares be under the minimum wage”, Xhavit Yasar from OVL-KLA said.

Even though they do not know what the government's upcoming proposals will be, members of the Vetevendosje Movement Commission say the veterans' wage salary will be changed with the current draft law.

The “in that law is for the Government to decide on veterans' income, based on financial stability or the country's revenues, but I believe that we will know exactly tomorrow”, said Commission member for Business Eman Nundhamni.

The minimum wage in Kosovo of what it currently is, with the new law proposed by the government, is set to become 264 euros gross, or 250 euros net. Until June there is a year since the bill has been voted in principle in the Assembly, there has been no concrete step towards its approval ever since.
