UNMIK chief condemns attacks on KFOR

It has strongly condemned actions that resulted in severe injuries to KFOR personnel, but also to civilians, today in the municipality of Zvecan.
“Dhuna in any form, including against KFOR, who are deployed to provide a safe environment in line with the UN Resolution 1244 (1999), is unacceptable”, she said.
P SSP Ziadeh expresses solidarity with KFOR and wishes all the injured, including civilians, quick recovery. It stresses that life loss must be prevented at all costs.
UNMIK chief calls for de-progression and calls for leadership and responsible actions to ease tensions and move towards sustainable political solutions as soon as possible.
She said UNMIK will continue to co-ordinate closely with all international presences on the ground.
