U.S. strong response: action in the north against our advice, will have consequences for America reports - Kosovo

The US State Department argues that such actions of the Government of Kosovo have been taken against US and EU councils.

Official Washington argues that such actions have severely and unnecessaryly circulated tensions in the country's north by undermining US efforts to help the process and stress that today's actions will have irreparable consequences in reports between the US and Kosovo.

The United States strongly condemns the Kosovo government's actions to break into municipal buildings in northern Kosovo, actions it took against the Councils of the United States and Kosovo European partners. These actions have severely and unnecessaryly escalated tensions, undermining our efforts to help normalise relations between Kosovo and Serbia and will have consequences for our bilateral relations with Kosovo. We call on Prime Minister Albin Kurti to change the course, and all sides to refrain from any further action that will fuel tensions and spur conflict”, said in response.
