The gathering of citizens Serbs before the Zvecan municipality facility began from the early hours of Monday morning.
The leaders of the protest were the leaders of the Serbian list, Goran Rakiq and Igor Siqim. Over time, they have negotiated with KFOR commander, with demands to evacuate all special units of the Kosovo police -- the operational unit Rosu from the Zvecan municipality.
Masked mostly of new ages, protests were seen all day around the area where the Zvecan municipality object was located and where protests were held.
They did not resist, the masked broke the KFOR cord and began shooting at KFOR members, so they remained injured about 30 KFOR peacekeepers.
The great presence of local and Serbian journalists who had come from Serbia, specifically to convey today's protests were threatened by unidentified gangs.
Serbian journalists had information that the situation in Zvecan would escape and that they are threatened with life. Upon receiving this information, Kosovo journalists have contacted the media rights lawyer Butteran Kusari, who after a very quick intervention of KFOR and Kosovo Police have offered protection to all journalists who felt endangered. This defense was offered to all journalists indiscriminately, ethnicity, gender..
Most of the journalists, cameramen have been taken to police protection, and after the calm of the situation they have again emerged at the scene and that after less than 2 hours, armed groups have begun attacking KFOR members with Molotov cocktails, gun shootings, bombs and iron rods.
The Serbian list is rejecting any form of election of Albanian mayors in four Serb-run municipalities. As a sign of discontent they have protested in front of the facilities of these municipalities, trying to prevent newly elected mayors from entering the facilities.
The Serbian list has boycotted these elections.
