American analyst, who conveys and analyzes developments in the Western Balkans, Daniel Serer, has reacted after today's events in the north of the Republic of Kosovo and the American rebuke of Kurti Government.
Cererwer says Kurti has logic, but has questioned Kurti and Kosovo's capacity to implement what he thinks, as American professor argues that only logic is not enough.
“I am not aware of the current opinion of Prime Minister Kurti on the specific issue of mayors. But he is a dead liberal Democrat who believes in equal rights under the law. He's also what I'd call “sovanist”. Kurti believes Kosovo is and should act as a sovereign state. These two features make establishing mayors a logical movement. However, only logic cannot dictate politics. The ability also matters”, Serwer wrote.
American professor says Kurti is limited to the number of police forces dealing with local Serb violence against mayors and that he has very little support for placing them in municipal objects.
“It is limited in two ways: Kosovo has limited police forces available to deal with Serbian violence against mayors, and there is undoubtedly very limited international support for their installation”, Serwer wrote.
He has written that the U.S. has capacities, but he says Americans lack logic.
Cerwer says the United States can make life difficult, Kurti, but that their position on elections in the north makes sense.
He asks how I like to support the elections and not their legitimate results.
“How did you condemn the police action to protect elected mayors but not the rebels who attacked them? How do you claim that the normalisation agreement, which includes a pledge not to use the military force, is legally binding, but does not prevent the Serb mobilisation of its armed forces in response to a political conflict within Kosovo?” has written away Serwer.
American professor says the US claims it supports barbarous rights and respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of existing states in the Balkans, and according to him, logical conclusions must be drawn.
