Serbian historiania: Kosovo lost, I am against Association

Serbian historian Dubravka Stojanovic said that “lost Kosovo in battle with the greatest world power and that the agreement with Pristina is necessary. Stojanovic says that “even though we don't know what he's saying, I support any agreement that's not hurt by anyone”
According to her, the state of frozen conflict is catastrophic, primarily for Serbia itself, which has been in that situation since the nineth years of the past century, “and the world is moving ahead, including Kosovo” itself.
As the “Danas” reports, Stojanovic believes Serbia by its actions is being isolated from the world, and as far as UN membership is concerned, if so many countries have recognised Kosovo, “they will vote for that country, regardless of what Serbia” says.
In the European Union question (BE) or Kosovo, she said “naturally the EU” and recalled that “we lost Kosovo in a war with the greatest world power”.
When asked about the association of Serb majority municipalities, Stojanovic said she was always a major opponent of such an organisation, since the Serbian Republic of Kraina, “because it is what engages in a state of citizens”.
“This perceives as territorial division”, she explained and recalled that most Serbs do not live in the north, “which, in that case, would remain without rights”.
Commenting on the referendum's idea for the agreement with Kosovo, Stojanovic stressed that she has never believed in that idea in Serbia, because all referenda are manipulated, “anyway under this regime”.
She noted that there is always the danger of conflict not only in Kosovo, but also in the region, including Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, “because power in Serbia wants to keep the conflicts open”.
For Stojanovich, as a historian, Kosovo is an important lesson that “we failed to realise the dream of generations and that we should think about this”.
