Senators, according to these photographs, met not only with President Vjosa Osmani and Prime Minister Albin Kurti but with the opposition.
This was made known by their recent announcement, where in photos shared on social networks, senators, along with Ambassador Houvenier, also had a meeting with Memli Krasniqi, Lumir Abdixhik and Ramush Haradinaj.
It is wonderful to welcome the senators Murphy and Peters to Kosovo! During their visit, the delegation met with Kosovo leaders, members of civil society and media representatives”, the American Embassy reported.
Yesterday, the two senators at the United States Congress, Chris Murphy and Gary Peters, confirmed that the topic of discussion between them and Prime Minister Albin Kurti has been the issue of dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.
At a joint media conference, Senator Chris Murphy said the issue of the Serb Major Community Association is important this year.
On the other hand, according to him, Serbia should stop blocking Kosovo in the process of membership in international organisations.
We know that it has to do with difficult solutions on both sides, Serbia must stop blocking Kosovo from membership in international organisations, and we think it is understandable to allow Serb majority municipalities to have some opportunity to co-ordinate the services they offer. It is the year when this issue should be carried out and the normalisation movement will send mutual recognition”, Senator Murphy said.
He said they are willing to help Kosovo on this issue.
While, Senator Gary Peters spoke about co-operation between the US and Kosovo in terms of armed services.
“As far as relations for the armed services are concerned, we have a co-operation between the US and Kosovo, and whatever incident happens you are the first to raise your hand to co-operate with American forces”, he said.
