“We urge the West to finally stop its false propaganda and, for incidents in Kosovo, stop blaming Serbs who are peaceful, unarmed and make efforts to protect their legitimate rights and freedoms”, Russia's Foreign Ministry reported Reuters.
Serbian protesters clashed Monday with KFOR peacekeepers in Zvecan.
Thirty KFOR soldiers and over 50 protesters were injured in clashes.
KFOR said three of its soldiers were injured by the use of “firearms” during clashes with Serb protesters.
A day earlier, Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said the situation in Kosovo is alarming and that it could provoke another conflict in central Europe.
Russia, which has begun its neighbour's invasion of Ukraine in February last year, is an ally of Serbia and consistently supports its actions against Kosovo citizenship.
