In the country, three members of the KPM were voted in today. Luljeta Aliu managed to be elected in the first round, while the other two candidates did not get enough votes and the vote will be repeated again.
“With 48 votes, the member election Lulitta Aliu, while for candidates proposed for the election of two members, out of four candidates, could not elect any members. No one has reached the number of 46 votes, as necessary to elect a member of the KPM”, Konjufca said.
Before voting for members of the KPM, European Federation of Journalists Secretary Ricardo Gutierrez has called on Vetevendosje Movement leader Prime Minister Albin Kurti not to allow further KPM politicisation.
The Kosovo Assembly is expected to elect three new members of the Independent Media Commission today. I am deeply concerned to hear that the ruling party, Vetevendosje Movement, is prepared to choose people who are public supporters of this party. I call on Albin Kurt not to allow further policyisation of the KPM”, Gutierrez wrote.
