Pristina municipality Chairman Progress Rama has met today with Kosovo Football Federation Chairman Agim Ademi, with regard to the project to build the new stadium in the capital.
This meeting was aimed at inter-initiative co-ordination for the construction of this important stadium for Kosovo football and the Pristina community in general.
They agreed to co-operate in implementing this important project for the capital sport, and not only.
The new stadium, which will be built in Brnica, will be fourth category and will meet all necessary standards and conditions for organising international matches, respectively, of national team matches and clubs in European competitions.
This stadium will also be an appropriate location for organising other sporting events and various events.
Rama and Ademi have agreed that the Kosovo Football Federation will be responsible for managing the new stadium, the same way it is with stadium “Fadil Vokri”.
They also discussed maintenance of the existing stadium, field situation and organisation of national matches and teams competing in Europe.
Mayor Rama expressed his interest in developing sports, especially football, in the capital, viewing it as the most popular sport in Kosovo.
The two heads of institutions have pledged to create better sports conditions in the capital and to jointly commit themselves to better organisation of the capital clubs.
During the meeting, President Ademi has donated President Rama the national of Kosovo's fanele and has thanked him for his willingness to contribute to the development of Kosovo football.
They have expressed the will to sign the Memorandum of Co-operation in line with the practice established with other municipalities in Kosovo.
This will help improve Kosovo football and raise the level of clubs in the capital.
As the national stadium remains but one idea and is not living, construction of another new stadium will begin in Pristina.
