Republika Srpska President Bajram Begaj has signed this Monday relevant decrees of the full package of salary reform.
Pay increases affect, minimum wage, public administration, independent institutions, lawmakers, council of ministers and the state head and prime minister's salary.
The strategy announced by the Rama government envisions two phases of salary growth, where the first was adopted Thursday in the Assembly and entered into force starting on April 1, 2023, while the second phase is expected to be implemented in April 2024.
The strategy includes increasing wages of administration and independent institutions to the level of 2060%.
According to the league, which was decreed by President Begaj, the MP's salary will be doubled from the current 156 770 leks to $310, 250, while ministers from 174 760 leks to 318 gross. The prime minister and vice president's salary has increased to almost $400,000 from the current $28,000 gross.
After signing Begaj's decree, laws enter into force instantly.
