In Zvecan, the municipality in northern Kosovo inhabited by Serb majority, Kosovo police have used spray against local Serbs, who tried to enter the municipal building.
Serbs in Zvecan, Leposavic and Zubin Potok are opposing young Albanian mayors, who were elected 23 April.
The Serbian list, the main Serb party in Kosovo, has demanded that the new mayors and special Kosovo police units withdraw from the north in exchange for withdrawing protesters to the north.
