This has happened since local Serbs have blocked entrances to the municipal buildings in Zubin-Potok, Zvecan's Leposaviq, to challenge the entry of new mayors into the facilities.
Sources of the online newspaper Reporter.net have announced that Kosovo police officers from the eight hour schedule have spent at that 12 hours, in order for police to be in a state of readiness in case of straining the situation in the country's north.
Otherwise, today's situation in the north of the country has resulted in tension, where police to remove the crowd of assembled people have been forced to throw tear gas as gun shots have been heard.
Also, two gravel trucks are placed at the Leposavic municipality building.
Following the shooting before the municipality of Zvecan, the gathered Serbs were heard calling “ubij”, which in Albanian means “vrite”.
Otherwise, Kosovo police have reported that five police officers have suffered injuries during protests in the north, and that 4 police cars have been damaged, one of them has been burned.
