It turns out the cop in question is P. Pepaj and his son St. Peppers. They are allegedly beating two other people -- a family in Gjakova -- due to a dispute over a settlement.
Father and son were arrested yesterday in evening hours by Kosovo Police. And in case there is also the Kosovo Police Inspectorate.
“The IPK was reported on this case based on its legal authorisations, since information was that in this case was also involved as a suspect and a member of the police (a civil staff official without police authorisations and outside official duty). IPK investigators have come to the scene and have undertaken several initial investigative actions, including analyzing some video footage recorded by local security cameras. Following the enterprise of some investigative actions in co-ordination with the prosecution, IPK investigators have arrested two suspects (civil staff officials and a citizen) on suspicion that they have carried out the same criminal work “light troop launch””, it reported. IPK on Tuesday.
Under the prosecutor's decision the detention measure has been imposed for 48 hours, while as part of the administrative procedure the member of the police (civil minister) has been suspended, the report says.
