Full communication:
Maintaining order and public security, law enforcement professionally, effectively and effectively, as well as providing security to all citizens indiscriminately, remains the task and continued commitment of the Kosovo Police (PK). Kosovo police are continuing their commitments in providing security and the prosperity of protests, which are continuing near three municipalities in the country's north, Leposaviq, Zubin Potok and Zveqan.
In Zveqa, protesters have continued to be unpeaceable and have consistently provoked the situation, exposed violence, hunted various items in the direction of police officials, placed provocative inscriptions with Serbian and Russian symbols on KFOR police and vehicles, and damaged tires and other parts of vehicles.
Of the masked protesters, journalists of various media who were damaged by their vehicles have been prevented and burned by a car, as have Serbian nationalist inscriptions. The KP has provided security to media/journalists by moving them to security perimeter.
Sirens/alarms have been repeatedly launched in northern municipalities with the aim of re-mobile them, so far even in Leposaviq protesters have fired various disasters and fireworks/the Propechnic media against officials and police vehicles.
Kosovo police have proved professional and self-continent, avoiding ongoing provocations, as well as calling on protesters to protest calmly, attack and endanger the lives of police officials, clear the official roads and means of circulation, as well as not harm the police and citizens' tools, in order not to strain the situation. Such a call to protesters has been repeatedly made by KFOR officials who have been present, but the situation has continued to be the same.
Kosovo police have consistently been co-ordinated with KFOR to manage the situation. KFOR has been forced to act since the violence of protesters has put officials' lives at risk, car damage and public property at risk.
Protesters in Zveqan have not implemented official evacuation orders, but have resisted and started throwing various tools, Molotov cocktails, bombs, explosives, and heard gunshots fired.
As a result of the rampant violence so far, some KFOR officials have been injured/plateed, as well as thus far five suspected persons who have used attacks and violence against them.
Also, an official PC vehicle has been set on fire, as have other cars.
Kosovo police continue to manage the situation in co-ordination with KFOR and have launched intensive investigations regarding the violence and attacks caused against the media, KFOR and police members.
The protest is still ongoing, the situation continues to be tense especially in Zveqan, as people/in other municipalities are circulated, dressed in black and masked clothes.
Given the tense circumstances and situation created by criminal groups in the country's north, Kosovo Police invite citizens to calm down and not fall prey to provocations of whatever nature they may be.
