Police: Protesters demonstrated violence and threw tear gas

Ahead of the Zvecan municipality's targets, protesters showing violence and throwing tear gas have attempted to cross the safety cords to break into the municipality facility, police report.

The “Police have been forced to use legitimate tools such as scuttling, to stop protesters and to bring the situation under control”, the report said.

“Police engagements in the implementation of public order and security, provision of security to citizens, freedom of free movement, as well as the company of police measures confirming the situation and developments in the country's north will continue to remain among the primary objectives and tasks of the Kosovo Police.

Kosovo police are managing the situation, at the same time inviting citizens to have increased attention and attention along the calls of protests, to protest calmly and not to fall prey to possible provocations of whatever nature they are”, the police response reported.
