Osmani: Serbia holds direct responsibility for sex crimes against women in Kosovo

President Osmani congratulated Soucy 120th anniversary of the establishment of the parliamentary Women's Network within the Francophony Organisation and expressed Kosovo's gratitude for the contribution this organisation has given to the cultivation and promotion of Francophone values around the world.
Kosovo as a member of this organisation is active in promoting bilateral co-operation with Francophony member states and cultivating common values, which this organisation promotes.
She also expressed satisfaction that, as part of the excellent co-operation that the institutions of our country have with this organization, today in the Republic Parliamentary Group is being held.
The president and delegation of the Women's Network of the Parliamentary Assembly also discussed the care Kosovo institutions are showing for women raped during the war in Kosovo and efforts that, in addition to support, ensure justice for them.
Serbia bears direct responsibility for crimes committed in Kosovo, including sexual crimes against women”, President Osmani said.
The president also announced the preparations for the Forum for Women, Peace and Security, which this year will be held for the second time and invited him and parliamentary women to the Parliamentary Assembly of Francophony to attend.
The Forum for Women, Peace and Security, the President said, “served as an important instrument for promoting women's rights and further progress of their position in society and higher participation in institutional life”.
Soucy expressed happiness in the visit and stressed that he would continue to work for further promotion of women's freedoms and rights.
