KFOR members have clashed Monday, May 29th, with Serb protesters in Zvecan, who have rejected the new Albanian chairman's entry into the municipal building.
According to NATO, the decision to increase the number of forces has been taken, so KFOR can ensure security, in line with its mandate.
Admiral Stuart B. Munsch, commander of NATO for forces in Naples has commended KFOR soldiers for their quick and cautious responses to prevent riots and save lives.
“Dhuna must stop, and all sides must avoid actions that undermine peace in Kosovo”, Munsch has said.
