Several soldiers have been injured as a result of attacks by Serb protesters. NATO wants violence to stop immediately.
” NATO strongly condemns unpronounced attacks against KFOR troops in northern Kosovo, which have led to the wound of a number of them. Such attacks are totally unacceptable. Violence must stop immediately. We call on all sides to refrain from actions that further provoke tensions and engage in dialogue. KFOR will take all necessary actions to preserve a safe and secure environment and will continue to act impartially, in line with its mandate under UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999”, says NATO spokeswoman Oana Lungescu.
