Over the past four months, there are 91 medical colleagues who have requested etiko-professional certificates, a document that they need in connection with contracts with health institutions in Germany, but in all EU states. Out of this 91st number, some have only left, some are in the final phase of the visa, some in the contract phase. Overall, there are 91 doctors who have filled out the exit documents, or have left”, he said.
And visa liberalisation for Kosovo, according to him, will affect the increase in the number of doctors who will release Kosovo.
“As far as visa liberalisation is concerned, we expect a significant increase in the number of doctors who will leave Kosovo. I always talk about new colleagues who will be very easy to contact with employers and that this accelerates procedures, simultaneously and facilitates them. If this trend is calculated in this early year and last year, we expect more than 250 to 270 doctors to leave this year”, he said.
Sejdiu says doctors who are leaving Kosovo every day are mostly young, unemployed specialists.
