While the mayor of Zubin Potok's municipality says they are waiting together with the Minister of Local Power to decide on this, and that a date is expected to be set this week, by the latter, they have not returned an answer to the subject despite television interest.
The names of four new leaders are now known for two weeks, and the results for them have also been certified by the Central Election Commission.
In spite of this, it is still not known when their work will officially begin, with the first step, the oath in the new task.
The mayor, elected in Zubin Potok's municipality, Izmir Zeqiri, has said the discussions are still continuing.
Izmir Zeqiri, the elected chairman of the Zubin Potok municipality, has said that “Akoma is under discussion with the local government minister even with the municipal assembly to make a joint decision on the date of the oath. We have yet to determine a date. We are waiting to make a decision. We are in consultation with the minister and will take a joint stand on this and inform. I believe that within this week we will decide on a certain time of”.
The answer to this now and several days has not been given by the Ministry of Management of Local Power, which is led by Minister Elbert Krasniqi.
As long as their oath is suspended, analyst Arton Muhajari expresses sceptical about performance
of the process, and according to him, the government would have to analyse the situation in the north before holding elections.
Arton Muharnier, analyst, has said that the “unfortunately more problems are expected for these four leaders in the future, as they will find it impossible to exercise their role in full. But now the Government remains to exert pressure on internationals to influence official Belgrade and achieve a new fashion that would normalise that part. The idea is for mayors to be there for the entire”.
According to the results of the April 23rd election, the winning Leposaviq Movement Vetevendosje came up with candidate Lulzim Hetemi, who has received 100 votes in Zubin Potok municipality The PDK, with the candidate Izmir Zeqiri by 197 votes, in Zvecan PDK with candidate Ilir Peci, who has received 114 votes and in North Mitrovica LVV with candidate Erden Pantic, who has received 553 votes.
In addition to the mayors, Zvecan's Leposaviq municipalities were voted into municipal assemblies.
