Although the law has not yet been passed on second reading in the Assembly, Kurti says wages in the public sector have increased, and the increase in wages has been supported in private as well.
“The task has been one of our main priorities and together with the essentials are the right to work. In this direction in the past year, 6316 inspections have been made in businesses aimed at monitoring the observance of the Labour Law and other laws in force. Only in the first quarter of this year have 153 fines been pronounced for disrespecting these 34x1> laws, Kurti wrote.

”8 hours of work, 8 hours of entertainment and 8 hours of holiday” was the slogan of the demand contrary to the explosion of workers who first became public in Australia in 1885. A year later in these same requirements, we remember the popular resistance of workers in Chicago. Today on May 1 we mark the International Workers ' Day, not only remembering them but also engaging in equality, rights, and better working and living conditions.
As a new government, we have taken a series of steps, legal decisions and initiatives that directly affect the lives of workers. We have drafted and sent to the Parliament the Bill on the Minimal Page, the law we expect the Parliament to pass as soon as possible.
In order to increase inspections for better implementation of the labour law, the budget has been allocated to increase the number of inspectors on the ground. While in this year's budget we've seen 240 additional inspectors in different sectors.
During these two years of government, we have taken measures to promote employment with particular emphasis on employing women and young people. With a measure of 1.3, about 5 thousand more women have been employed, meanwhile through the platform Superpuna) we have supported youth employment, with cases from month to month, 4501 working relationships through this platform (until the moment of this post).
Also, we have increased public sector wages and through budgets undertaken by the Government we have supported salary increases for 17 thousand private sector workers.
Employment has been one of our main priorities, and with it essential rights are also on the job. In this direction in the past year, 6316 inspections have been made in businesses aimed at monitoring the observance of the Labour Law and other laws in force. Only in the first quarter of this year have 153 fines been pronounced for disregarding these laws.
Kosovo has suffered both unemployment and labour rights violations. We are trying to eliminate rights violations at work to the maximum, along with expanding employment. We are aware of the situation in which we found the worker, but we will continue to be uncompetitive in regulating working conditions and respecting his guaranteed rights with the Constitution.
Happy May 1st of the workers!
