A huge explosion is being prepared in the center of Europe where, in 1999, NATO attacked Yugoslavia, violating any imaginable principle of the Helsinki Final Act and OSCE documents”, Lavrov said during a visit to Kenya, the Russian state agency, RIA Novosti, reported.
He added that the situation requires a <x0-political resolution” that would ensure the security of European countries.
According to him, “no block, including NATO has no right to claim dominance on that part of planet”.
Tensions in northern Kosovo have increased, as local Serb groups are protesting young Albanian mayors: Zvecan, Zubin Potok and Leposaviq.
Last Friday, Kosovo police broke into these municipalities to install new mayors.
The Kosovo government has defended the police's actions, while the international community has strongly condemned them, warning that they downplay efforts to normalise Kosovo-Serbia relations.
Russia, which has begun its neighbour's invasion of Ukraine in February last year, is an ally of Serbia and consistently supports its actions against Kosovo citizenship. / REL
