Kosovo's “Prime Minister Albin Kurti had a challenging tone Wednesday when he said the US measures were wrong and that his government stood next to the Albanian mayors of the recently elected municipalities in the northern part of his country, who are at the centre of the recent outbreak of tensions with Serb populations in this area” writes the final Times.

He named the United States “Kosovo's main ally and partner”, adding that he was in daily contact with the American ambassador to Pristina.
I accept and know that as far as I'm concerned we've had a little difference, but honestly I don't feel there's any kind of sanction [for] Kosovo. It is not a proper measure”, he said.
Kurti said he would be willing to hold a meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq if he was mediated by Brussels. He also welcomed the deployment of more NATO troops to eliminate violence, saying: “I have been calling for more NATO soldiers since last year. ”
