Kosovo gets invited for first time by United Emirates for Palace Conference

The country's president, Vjosa Osmani, has received an invitation for participation in the Palace Conference, also known as COP28, by United Arab Emirates President Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
This is the first time Kosovo has been invited to meet leaders since the founding of this initiative, which is organised by the United Nations with a focus on climate change.
The first of the state met with the non-resident ambassador of the United Emirates, Nabila Al Shams, where he said this moment is very important for Kosovo, as according to her, Kosovo is invited as an equal party.
She stressed that Kosovo has full readiness to engage more actively in issues related to fighting climate change and that, as such, Kosovo should be part of every table where it is discussed on this extremely important and disturbing topic, not just for our state”, the presidency's announcement said.
COP28's Nikoqir this year is the United Arab Emirates, and the conference will be held in late November and early December of this year.
