Kiev backs another wave of Russian air strike

Kiev delayed another wave of air strikes by Russian forces overnight, Ukrainian officials said on May 29th, a day after Ukraine's capital came under what authorities described as the largest attack on Kiev since the beginning of the war. “only spent 18 hours in the most [...] attack
The “have spent only 18 hours of the largest attack on Kiev, and the enemy again attacked the capital”, the city military administration said, adding that this was the 15th air strike on Kiev since early May.
According to Kiev authorities, Ukraine's defence systems dropped 37 rockets and 29 fears overnight.
Kiev's chairman, Vitaly Klitschko, said it was another “a difficult night” for the city, but he said he did not report on major casualties or damage from the last air strikes.
Thanks to the professionalism of our defenders, as a result of air attack by barbarians in Kiev, there has been no damage or destruction in infrastructure and other objects or in residential buildings”, Klitschko wrote on the telegram. “There is no hurt or dead”.
At least two people were killed and three others were injured because of the attack the previous day in Kiev. That attack had also caused damage in several buildings.
The attacks came on the last Sunday of May, when the Ukrainian capital celebrated Kiev Day, the anniversary of the city's official founding 1541 years ago.
Russia has intensified missile attacks and fears in Ukraine after a period of nearly two months of calmer times, attacking military facilities and supplies several times a week.
Strengthened by sophisticated equipment supplied from the West, Ukraine's air defence has managed to prevent Russian air strikes.
