Otherwise, European Union for Foreign Policy and Security High Representative Josep Borrell has declared that Kosovo should suspend its police operations around municipal buildings in northern Kosovo, as the first step towards reducing tensions.
“Acts of violence against citizens, media, rule forces and KFOR are unacceptable”, Borrell told reporters in Brussels, REL reports.
“We, like the EU, stand behind NATO and KFOR in fulfilling the mandate, in the interest of peace and stability in Kosovo”, it has added.
Likewise, Borrell has said he has talked to Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, even with Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, and that he has invited “to calm the situation immediately and unconditionally”.
