KEK workers seek salary hikes, strike on May 22nd

This protest does not turn out to be the only response from this union to their discontent.

On May 22nd, the KEK Union will go on strike if the Government fails to meet the requirements.

So has warned of Front Online chairman of the new KEK Union, Nexhat Llumnica.

In addition to salary hikes, KEK workers have other job discontent.

Llumnica mentioned some of them.

On May 22nd, we will start on strike, unless wage growth occurs by this date. Other disappointments are: to pay off riskiness, respect of the labour law where weekends should be paid, collective agreement at the company level, and many others”, Llumnica said.

KEK Union head Nedzat Llumnica has pressed charges against VV deputy Armen Munja.

That muja has called him a liar.

According to Llumnica, the deputy in question, has pressed unconventional charges of KEK's chief union in connection with several contracts.

We're accepting attacks without ground. KEK's leader stressed that the strike will begin on May 22nd will continue on steadily until the implementation of the requirements.

In Friday's protest, Ali Gashi from BSPK also attended. He called KEK workers heroes, and said that thanks to them, Kosovo is being enlightened.

Supporting this protest has also given the chairman of SBASK, Nundman Jasharaj.

Jasharaj has said he has participated in the protest since, according to him, KEK workers, sacrificing themselves are making light. He said without them, they wouldn't even go to school.
