In an interview for Serbian media, Grenelli has said Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti should not be rewarded because he refuses to implement those agreements.
The association of Serb majority municipalities has been negotiated several times and long ago. And that should be the focus. We must implement the agreements reached earlier. And the fact that Kurti rejects the agreements reached because he does not like the people of Kosovo, is not good for Albanians, it is not good for Serbs”, said Grenel.
Grenelli, questioned whether Pristina could be forced to implement obligations by the agreement, said he does not think anyone could be forced to do something.
If they don't have the political will to do it, then it just won't be done. And this is a sad situation and is not useful for the people of Kosovo”, Grenelli said.
Asked to comment on the fact that Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, said American representatives should reread the Brussels Agreement, where it clearly says in what way the Association should be formed, and for Gabriel Escobar's statement that Pristina should give its version of the statute, as well as recent presentations in the Senate and the New York Times writing, Grell said it is important not to renegotiate already achieved agreements, but to implement them.
He estimated that it is dangerous for Europeans or, as he said, in this case for Americans to talk about the need to review or renegotiate what has been agreed upon.
I don't think we should reward Albin Kurt because he doesn't want to implement previous agreements”, Yerell stressed. /frontonline
