The chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lumir Abdixhiku, has announced that this party on 1 June will enter domestic party elections.
Abdixhiku said that the general council to prepare for these elections will convene on Friday, until he stressed that this election process will take place on 7 principles.
The LDK's leadership has made a decision today to proclaim domestic elections. For us this process is a holiday because the LDK has always believed in democracy”, Obadiah said at today's media conference.
Obadiah said that he invites each member to participate in this election.
The LDK leader stressed that they aim to have greater presence of young people in this election process, and also said they intend that one of the vice-chair positions will be for a woman.
“There are no differences between the party. The party is more united than ever. All are interested in having an open process of involvement of young people and women, as well as one of the vice-president positions to be woman”, he added.
He also added that they have made a decision to open four branches in northern Kosovo municipalities, as well as to have territorial branch organisation in the Mrgata.
